1

Using scissors or shears, carefully select and trim some of your favorite, small elements from your bouquet. Try to focus on appropriately sized floral elements like buds, small stems, petals and greenery.

2

Use the Sizing Guide for guidance. The sizing guide is a 1:1 model of your ring holder.

Tuck Your Flowers In

Make sure your flowers are comfortable in their FlowerBed".

1

Once you have chosen, snipped and sized your floral elements, place them on top of your base layer of SleepSand'". Flowers don't like to cuddle! Please be sure to give each floral element you place on the SleepSand' a bit of breathing room. Avoid things like stacking or overlapping.

2

Open Packet 13 of SleepSandTM and slowly pour it on top of your blooms. Continue to do so until all of your floral elements are completely covered and embedded in the S1eepSandTM.

If after you empty the entire contents of your SleepSandt you notice that some floral elements can Still be seen, this means that they are likely too large for preservation. You can adjust or remove floral elements until they are totally tucked in and hidden from sight.

Do rinse eyes thoroughly if they come in contact with Casting Medium. Don’t keep within reach of children or pets.
Do only use The Kit as intended.
Don’t use The Kit without following the detailed instructions that have been provided.

Set Up

Getting ready to create your ring holder.

1

Remove the Casting Tray and set it on the right side of The Kit. This will help keep things tidy during the creation process.

2

Using your fingers, reach into the SleepSand™ and gently remove all of your floral elements. Please note that your flowers are more delicate now that moisture has been removed from them via the SleepSand™.

3

Carefully place each preserved bloom into the BloomBox™. Please handle your florals gently.

4

Set your Casting Mold upright inside of the mold cavity within the Casing Tray. This will help to provide your mold with stability while you’re pouring the layers of your ring holder.

Prepare the casting medium

1

Open one package of disposable gloves and put the gloves on your hands. These will help to keep your hands clean and safe during the ring holder creation process.

2

Remove one packet of Casting Medium from the Casting Tray. Note the black dividing clip that separates each side of the packet.

3

Hold each side of the packet with your hands. Firmly pull outwards to remove the black dividing clip.

4

Gently massage the Casting Medium inside of the packet until it is fully mixed together. Mixing for approximately 90 seconds should be sufficient, but you will know the Casting Medium is evenly mixed when there are no visible “swirls” seen within the liquid.

Pour the casting medium

1

Holding the packet upright and using scissors, carefully snip off a corner of your Casting Medium package.

2

Pour all of the Casting Medium dairectly into

your mold. Be careful to not spill or dribble any Casting Medium on the surface you are working on, your clothes or skin. If you do, quickly wipe it up or thoroughly wash it off.

3

Once all of the Casting Medium has been poured into your mold, discard the empty packet in the trash. Be sure to do one last check to make sure both you and your working environment have remained Casting Medium free! It is sticky and once it dries, it can not be removed from surfaces.

Pop the bubbles

Bubbles are our friend and are a natural part of the creation process! However, we want to do our best to eliminate as many bubbles as possible for the smoothest, clearest ring holder outcome.

1

Using the Bubble Popper, pop the small air bubble that has formed at the very tip of your ring holder. Gently poke it with your Bubble Popper until the trapped air bubble pops or releases and rises to the surface of the Casting Medium where you can then easily pop it.

2

Small air bubbles should rise to the surface of your first layer of Casting Medium.
Many bubbles will pop on their own, but you can encourage them to pop by using the provided Bubble Popper to manipulate them. Removing every single bubble will be impossible, so don’t stress! We think small bubbles add character and charm.

Place your florals

Placing your floral elements in this first layer of Casting Medium will anchor your flowers in place and prevent them from floating to the surface in subsequent layers.

1

Using your Tweezers, select and carefully place + position your favorite floral elements inside of your first layer of Casting Medium within

your mold. Keep in mind that your ring holder mold is currently upside down, which allows you to place flowers inside of it. This knowledge can be helpful to keep in mind when choosing and arranging flowers. Do not crowd or overfill your ring holder mold with floral material. For the best outcome, give your chosen floral elements breathing room inside of your mold so that they can each be appreciated and admired.

*Use an included wipe to keep your Bubble Popper, Tweezers, and scissors clean between each use. After wiping, return your Bubble Popper and Tweezers to the Casting Tray for use in future layers. Do not set sticky tools on any other surface.

2

Using scissors, carefully trim away any floral elements that extend beyond the top of the mold. Ultimately, you want to fully encase your florals in the Casting Medium, so you want to make sure that your florals fit within the defined perimeter of your mold and nothing is “sticking out.”

*Use an included wipe to keep your Bubble Popper, Tweezers, and scissors clean between each use. After wiping, return your Bubble Popper and Tweezers to the Casting Tray for use in future layers. Do not set sticky tools on any other surface.

Pause

Allow your Casting Medium time to cure.

1

Now that your first layer of Casting Medium has been poured, bubbles have been popped and flowers have been placed, you are going to wait a minimum of 2.5 hours before pouring your second layer of Casting Medium. This wait time allows your Casting Medium to begin its curing + hardening process and properly secures your flowers in place.

2

Be careful not to move or bump the mold during the waiting period. Keep it in a safe place where it will remain undisturbed until you are ready to proceed with the next layer.

Set a reminder

Don’t forget!

1

Set a reminder on your smartphone to remove your ring holder from its mold in 48 hours. You can wait longer than 48 hours if the reminder goes off at a time that is not convenient for you. It will not harm your ring holder.

2

When the 48 hours are up, it’s time to move onto the next step.

NO.5

Complete your ringholder

1

Remove your ring holder from the mold by gently peeling the edges of the mold away from the ring holder itself. Once you have loosened up the mold, you can pinch your ring holder with your thumb and index finger and pull it directly out of your mold. It’s not fragile to touch, don’t worry!

2

Using the provided Sanding Pad, gently sand the bottom edges so that they are smooth and your ring holder sits evenly. Do not use the Sanding Pad on any other parts of your ring holder, as to prevent scratches or damage.

3

Use the provided Polishing Cloth to keep your ring holder looking its very best. The Polishing Cloth can help wipe away any surface smudges, like fingerprints or dust.

4

Now that your ring holder is complete and you’ve placed the finishing touches on it, we’d absolutely love to see what you’ve created! Give your ring holder a well-deserved photo op with your ring and tag us on social media. @soilandsoul.studio #soilandsoulkit

Keep your ring holder out of direct sunlight to keep it looking its very best.
