At our studio, we are incredibly passionate and proud of the unique art and incredibly meaningful keepsakes that we create for our clients.
We have spent many years developing and perfecting our craft and preservation techniques so that we can share this art form and experience with others who love and want to keep their special flowers.
We deeply value and respect that floral preservation is both a delicate, organic art as well as a tricky science. Furthermore, it is one that is thoughtfully and meticulously performed, 100% by hand, by our skillfully trained Botanical Artists.
THE TRANSFORMATION PROCESS
When your bouquet reaches our studio, every single flower, stem and petal is carefully evaluated, taking into consideration the external factors that effect each bloom such as wedding day wear, travel conditions, their original quality from your florist and even the farms that they were sourced from! It is a tedious process, but one that we treasure.
Our Botanical Artists are highly selective and leave absolutely no petal unturned in your bouquets assessment upon arrival. We choose only the most beautiful and healthy blooms available from your bouquet after the above factors are taken into consideration.
After the evaluation and hand-selection process occurs, the initial preservation phase begins! Over the course of 10-12 weeks, our Botanical Artists diligently care for and assist your florals through the preservation process to get them prepped for your final artwork(s) to be created.
Every single flower is different and responds to the preservation process uniquely. For instance, color and texture changes are perfectly normal and expected! Through our developed preservation process, our Botanical Artist’s hands and minds work thoughtfully to try to maintain as many of the special qualities and properties of the flowers that you loved.
Once your florals are fully prepped, our Botanical Artists closely review your design consultation questionnaire and use the information that you provide as inspiration and guidance when designing with your florals! We do our very best to match the florals that you hope to see in your artwork while also respecting the fact that transformations of varying degrees have occurred to your special flowers throughout the preservation process.
After you solidify a design that you love with your Botanical Artist, the final artwork creation process begins! The layout of your approved floral design is carefully transferred into our preservation medium, by hand. Our artists have the upmost care through this transfer process, with the goal being a 1:1 match. With this being an organic and delicate process, however, we always respect that fact that all florals react uniquely to our preservation medium and some necessary variations may occur.
WE CAN’T WAIT TO CREATE SOME FLORAL MAGIC TOGETHER
It is so important for us to express that our floral preservation process is not meant to freeze your bouquet in time, but to give it a beautiful, new life. A life that can be cherished for years to come.
We absolutely adore working with clients who are as excited as we are about the new life their florals are given and understand and appreciate the transformation process that takes place to provide them with this special and unique new lease on life!
